Our answers to your questions

What areas do you cover?
JD Prestige Cars is based near Heathrow so is ideally placed for London and the airports. We operate throughout the UK and we cover the following areas. please go to our contact us page and at the bottom you will find a map of the areas we cover.

Do you own your cars?
Yes at JD Prestige Cars we are not brokers we own all our cars. We are more than happy for clients’ to come and see the cars before they book.

How old are your Cars?
Our Cars are all new and tip top condition you can view any of our cars by clicking here or here

Do you charge a deposit?
Yes we do. On the chauffeur front it tends to be either £200 or £300 depending on which car you go for. However we can be negotiable on deposits.

When do you want the outstanding balance?
Normally a week before the hire or you can pay on the day in cash.

What sort of payment do you accept?
We accept all forms of payment – Cash, Cheque, BACS, Debit Card, Credit Card (There is no charge for use of credit cards)

How are your charges calculated?
Our charges are calculated on the basis of location, duration of hire, type of car and distances.

When does my hire time start?
Your hire time starts from the time you put on the contract and not from the time we leave the depot like most car hire companies do.

Why don’t you advertise your prices online?
We don’t, as everybody’s hire requirements are different so we tailor make the quote specific to you. However we do have a rough guide table of wedding car hire prices

Are ribbons included on weddings?
Yes ribbons are included on all wedding cars and in a choice of colours

Do you charge if you go over the hire hours?
As you can imagine yes we do but we will always try to negotiate with our customers depending on the number of extra hours they need.

Do you include champagne?
To keep our prices competitive and pass these savings on to our customer’s we don’t provide Champagne. Most companies give the £2 sparkling wine stuff, we would rather not give you imitation champagne. Happy for you to bring your own if you wish.

Are you open 24 hours?
Yes we are open round the clock and one of the only car hire companies to offer this peace of mind; that as your wedding or hire is going on irrespective of time of day we are there to help should the need arise.

What colours are your cars?
Our chauffeur driven cars are all silver or white as we feel this is an all round wedding car colour which looks great in all weather and at night too. These colours also look fantastic when your pictures are taken. On the self drive range we have various colours.

How do I book a chauffeur car?
Please contact us, you will need to fill out a booking form online and phone us to make a deposit payment.

Do I get a confirmation of booking?
Yes you do once we have received a confirmed booking and deposit. This is done on email

How do I book a self hire car?
You will need to be 30 or over and have a relatively clean license. No DD or IN endorsements. You will need a checkable record and a £5k deposit which is refundable on a credit card, as long as the car comes back in the condition it was hired out in.

Do you do weddings?
JD Prestige Cars specialises in weddings, we normally do about 500 weddings a year all over the UK

Do you do all sorts of weddings?
JD Prestige Cars has done all sorts of weddings from Church, Civil, Asian, Greek, Jewish, Chinese, Japanese weddings, to name but a few!

Are your drivers suited and booted?
Yes our entire driver’s are suited and booted, they are extremely courteous and friendly and above all they know their ways around the major cities, wedding venues and places of interest. Most have been providing a chauffeur service in London for over 25 years.

Can we smoke in the car?
No the law does not allow that

Does the car come clean when it arrives?
Yes all cars are polished, cleaned inside and out to make sure they gleam on your special day.

Who is JD prestige Cars?
JD Prestige Cars is an independent family run business, which prides itself in the cars that it owns, and making peoples hire an all time top experience to remember. We have numerous cars and are not a one man operator. So you can be rest assured that we have back up vehicles if something goes wrong.

Should I tip the driver?
This is totally at your discretion and if you feel that the driver is worthy of a tip then by all means. The drivers’ keep all tips.
